Overview
Following X and Pearl, MaXXXine takes Ti West and Mia Goth’s retro-horror trilogy to 1980s Hollywood where adult film star and aspiring actress Maxine Minx finally gets her big break. After successfully auditioning for the lead in a new B-Grade horror film The Puritan II, helmed by feminist director Elizabeth Bende (Elizabeth Debicki), Maxine finds herself in trouble with a private detective John Labat (Kevin Bacon absolutely devouring the scenery) and a mysterious figure who threatens to unveil her dark past. To make matters worse, a loose killer dubbed the Night Stalker carves a trail of murdered starlets that lead right to Maxine.
